Is a blood clot in me during pregnancy harmful to the baby?

A blood clot is otherwise known as thromosis or venous thrombo-embolism (VTE). It most commonly forms in your legs, or more rarely and seriously in your lungs. It shouldn't affect baby at all, as long as you remain healthy and are given the correct drugs to stop the clot enlarging.
