In my first pregnancy 2 years ago I was induced and my cervix got to nearly 'fully dilated', but had to have a Caesarean because of fetal distress. Was the induction to blame, and will I need a Caesarean?

You very nearly had a vaginal delivery last time, and the only reason you couldn't was that baby was distressed. That means you have a good chance-more than 70%-of having a vaginal delivery if you go into labour spontaneously this time around. It's impossible to say whether the induction led to the Caesarean, but most obstetricians would be very cautious about inducing you now you've had a Caesarean Section already.
