I am 36 weeks pregnant, have a Caesarean booked for 39 weeeks and have been confirmed as leaking amniotic fluid over the past 2 days. What happens next?

If you are definitely leaking amniotic fluid (known as preterm prelabour rupture of the membranes-PPROM) at this stage in pregnancy then the next stage is normally delivery. That's because there's a small chance of infection of your womb and around the baby, which is why most obstetricians will schedule delivery for 36-37 weeks or so, and monitor you and baby carefully in between.
