I was only 25 weeks pregnant when I went into labour and gave birth to my daughter. What are the risks of a second pre term birth?

There could be many reasons why you went into labour with your daughter-such as bleeding, rupture of membranes, infections etc. Most of these aren't likely to recur in a subsequent pregnancy, nevertheless having had one preterm baby there is an increased chance that your next one would be premature. But having said this, the risk of a premature delivery is still small and the likelihood remains that you will carry your baby to term.
