What is the integrated test for Down's?

The integrated test is so called because blood tests are combined with the results of a nuchal scan (performed at different visits) to give one single assessent of risk for Down's, usually at about 16-18 weeks. It provides one of the most accurate assessments of risk for those women keen to avoid invasive testing unless absolutely necessary, the disadvantage is that several visits are required and the final result is given later than with other Down's screening tests.
