I'm at 38 weeks and the baby's size suggests it stopped growing at 33 week fetal size. Should I be concerned?

If the baby is growth restricted-and it sounds as if baby is-there are several tests include umbilical artery (cord) Doppler, fetal heart rate trace (CTG-cardiotocograph), amniotic fluid check, biophysical profile and assessment of fetal movements that can help assess baby's health. All these tests are largely irrelevant after 37 weeks however; if baby is small from scan, most obstetricians would arrange for baby to be delivered either by inducing labour or Caesarean Section.
