When I go to the bathroom to pass urine, it isn't yellow but instead a brown colour. What does this mean?

Urine can become dark yellow/brown (very concentrated) if you aren't drinking enough-if this is the case, then increase your intake of clear fluids. If however you are drinking plenty, and your urine has developed a dark tinge, or looks as if it may have blood in it, particularly if you have signs of cystitis (pain passing urine & going to the bathroom frequently), you should see your doctor or midwife to get your urine checked. If you have an infection, you will need antibiotics to make it clear up.
