How early can you find out if you are pregnant?

The earliest that a pregnancy test is positive is at around the time that your period would be due, usually 14 days after conception (around 4 weeks from your last period). It is at this stage that human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) levels start to rise in your bloodstream. A scan will show early signs of a pregnancy at about 5 weeks.
