I had a Caesarean Section with my first son, due to pre-eclampsia. What are the risks of me having another c-section or pre-clampsia?

The risks of you having another Caesarean are higher if you develop pre-eclampsia, and highest if you develeop early onset pre-eclampsia. But it''s not all bad news-your risk of getting pre-eclampsia again, assuming you are with the same partner as was the father of your first baby, is around 10-15%. Your risk of Caesarean, if you don''t get pre-eclamspia and are keen to try for a normal delivery, is around 30% assuming that there are no other problems such as placenta praevia that mandate a Caesarean delivery.
