I'm 32 weeks and my son is presenting head and feet down. I have never heard of this before-will this affect my labour and delivery?

The presenting part (part of the baby nearest the internal part of the cervix) of your baby is either the head, or the feet. It cannot be both! The most likely explanation is that the baby''s legs are flexed and the feet are close to the baby''s head. But almost always, the baby''s head will actually be presenting, ie nearer to the cervix than the feet. Your doctor will probably perform another scan, best done at around 36 weeks, at which stage it will almost certainly be obvious how the baby is presenting. It is likely that as long as the baby is head-first, your labour and delivery will progress normally. If the baby is bottom or feet down-this is known as 'breech' presentation.
