How can I work out my due date?

Your due date is calculated from in the following way. If you have a 28 day cycle, then your due date is 40 weeks (to be precise, 283 days) from the first day of your last period. A rough way of calulating your estimated date of delivery (EDD)is to subtract 3 months from the date of your last period, and add 10 days. If you have short, long or irregular cycles, this method of dating is inaccurate. Then, the most accurate way of dating your pregnancy is an ultrasound scan to measure baby''s crown-rump length (CRL) between 8 and 14 weeks.
