When you have a cervical smear (pap) test in pregnancy is it normal to bleed for the rest of the day?

The cervix is quite soft and bleeds easily in pregnancy, so a smear (pap) test is likely to cause a small amount of sometimes fresh but light bleeding for about 24 hours or so, the loss becoming darker and less within another 24 hours.
