I am 44 years old and when I had a tubal ligation, I was told I could still get pregnant. Is that true?

The short answer is yes, but it is very rare. The risk of getting pregnant after tubal ligation is less than a half of one percent. Nevertheless, if you feel pregnant and have had intercourse recently, it is sensible to do a pregnancy test.
