My twins are thought to be dichorionic on the scan at 12 weeks. What is dichorionic?

Dichorionic means that your twins have two placentas, two sets of membranes and are in two sacs. It also means that they are most likely to be non-identical. Complications of monochorionic pregnancy, such as twin-twin transfusion syndrome, cannot happen in dichorionic pregnancies.
