Could there be some bleeding when an egg is fertilized?

Bleeding is unlikely to occur as a result of the egg being fertilized, but may well occur a few days later when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the wall of the womb. this is known as an ''implantation bleed'' and may occur just before and instead of a period.
