I feel I'm abnormal...I'm stuck in the house all day and I do love my baby but I feel cut off from the real world....what''s wrong with me?

Your normal!! The process of having a baby is strange. Throughout pregnancy you are thrown together with other pregnant women, and can compare notes. At delivery and afterwards, you still have this contact at the hospital and then you go home, and all your time is taken up with getting through the tasks of the day. You don't have the same access to people. Try joining a 'mum & baby' group; there will be some in your area but it takes some organizing to get everything together to go out. Ask your midwife or health visitor for details. Try to get out either with your baby or on your own. Go to a friend who has children or invite someone to your house if the idea of going out all seems a bit much to organise.
