I feel such a spare part since the baby came, is this normal?

Yes indeed it is. In the scheme of things, you rank third after baby and mum. People don''t seem to consider partners that much. You''re the person who answers the door and makes the tea. Few people will remember to ask how you are, what you feel ...they just want to hold the baby. Your partner seems to have forgotten she was a lover...she''s definitely in ''mother mode''. Where does all this leave you?...feeling sorry for yourself, left out and unable to say anything to anyone. Be assured this is perfectly normal. Partners can only look at the bump in pregnancy, the reality only hits you at the birth. This is real, you are now a family, not a couple and it does take time for all this to register. Try not to be hard on yourself and find someone you can express these feelings to.
