You both went through labour...she gave birth. The point being, you went through it, emotionally as well as physically. You probably used up more energy that she did just through worry! You had to watch the person you love, suffer and there wasn''t much you felt you could do at the time to help, was there? Add to this to your worries about your baby being born OK and is it any wonder you are exhausted?. You are also trying to cope with normal life as well as job, visiting, helping out, interupted sleep, meals on the run...the list is endless. Try not to be hard on yourself and catch up on sleep and relaxation if you can. |
