I am dreading going home. What if we can''t cope?

Remember that you will have access to professionals qualified in this field for years to come. It starts with a community midwife calling to see you, for at least the first week that you come home. Then when she is happy that all is well with you and baby, she will discharge you to the care of a Health Visitor who cares for you until your baby goes to school. You can also chat to your family doctor. Friends and family can be a mixed blessing at the best of times but you will find one or two on your wave length who will help you through. The most important thing is not to bottle up what you feel, talk about it. No-one is out to judge you...you aren''t supposed to know everything straight away.
