Who will do the delivery if it needs to be assisted?

An obstetrician will do the delivery with your help, and your midwife present. Your midwife will assist both you and the doctor to deliver your baby. The doctor will decide at the time whether forceps or ventuse is best, and will explain, as it occurs, what exactly is taking place. A paediatrician will normally be present as well.
