After my baby's born, when will I be allowed to eat?

You will be encouraged to try for example, tea and toast, as soon as you feel able. Odd as this may sound, try to eat something light because many women feel sick afterwards, and it is easier if you actually have something to be sick with rather than just retching. Often eating carbohydrate reduces your feeling of nausea, too.
