Will my partner be allowed to stay with me throughout all the checks?

Absolutely, They will be able to stay with you for as long as you remain on delivery suite. Once you are transferred to a postnatal ward, over night stays are not usually accomodated. While this might not seem what you would like...imagine 20+people staying on the ward with their partners! For security reasons visiting tends to be discouraged overnight.
