Do we need to tell the hospital we are on our way if I feel I''m going into labour?

If you have a home birth or private delivery, then definately you should as there is no other way for your carers to know that you are in labour. If you feel things are happening quickly and you have to prioritise, it''s more important that you get to the hospital. The staff need to know so they can prepare a room and organise staff to care for you. If, for some reason, you just turn up they are not going to turn you away.
