What should I do when I have a ''show''?

Firstly don''t panic...labour could be a long way away. The show may contain fresh blood and look rather jelly like; this is normal. If it happens with no other symptoms, it''s not really indicative of much. With other symptoms such as persisitent backache, strong regular contractions, it is advisable to contact your midwife, obstetrician or the labour ward.
