In a home birth, what do you use boiling water and towels for? Do I need to get these ready?

No! In the ''good old days'' boiling water was the method used to sterilise equipment. Now this is all done at the hospital and comes as disposable items so don''t worry. your midwife will bring sterile sheets but you may want clean towels and absorbent tissues ready.
