You can certainly try! Most midwives work in a small team and so you get to meet them all during your pregnancy. Someone will be on call from the team, when you go into labour but it is a bit of a lottery. You can ask your chosen midwife if she is willing to look after you, even if she is not on duty and obviously it is then up to them. Try, it can''t do any harm to ask.
