You will be involved in the decisions made about all aspects of your labour. The staff are there to give you information based on their professional expertise, and you would be advised to take what they say on board. If medical intervention is suggested, there is usually a good reason for it. However the decision will always be your and your partner''s. Nothing will or can be done to you against your will.

I have a question about Vitamin K given to newborns. I understand the link between the Vitamin K injection and childhood cancer cannot be proven as such therefore the risks are thought to be minimal. However I am still a anxious about agreeing to the injection for my baby, also I believe that the risk of Vitamin K deficiency is greater in breastfed babies.
