I have had some bleeding and have been told that the placenta is low-lying. Is the blood from me or the baby?

The bleeding from a ''placenta praevia'', is from your, not the baby''s circulation. Consequently, placenta praevia is more dangerous for you than it is for the baby. Bleeding placenta praevia is an obstetric emergency; if it happens then you must get to your local delivery unit or Obstetrician as fast as possible.
