Can I clone my husband and have an identical version of him as a baby?

Some women would find this concept particularly alarming, even forgetting the ethical implications. Cloning would involve removing your husband''s DNA (genetic material) from the sperm, introducing it to an empty egg (oocyte) and allowing it to divide into cells to from an embryo, as if it were a normal fertilized egg. While cloning in humans is theoretically (and even practically) possible, there are far too many unanswered questions about the safety and long term effects of the technique. For example, it may be that cloned cells will age far quicker than those derived from a more conventional mating process. Then there are the ethical and moral considerations, that are hotly debated throughout the world at the moment. So the answer is that the technique is not legal for use in humans in most countries, and no-one is quite sure about its long term safety.
