Should I overdose on vitamins to be really healthy?

Certainly not. This could be harmful. Vitamins, although crucial for your body, are only required in tiny quantities. Once you have enough, ''more'' is not necessarily ''better''. In fact, most people get more than enough vitamins from a varied diet and have no need for vitamin supplements. Vitamin supplements may be a good idea if you have a medical condition (for example Crohn''s disease or kidney condition), or have a restricted diet (for example some vegan diets). But to take a large dose of vitamins over and above what is required may not be good for you. There is some evidence that very large doses of vitamin C increase the risk of narrowing in heart arteries, and vitamin A taken in excess can cause malformations in the baby. Remember the dictum ''all things in moderation''!
