This is my first pregnancy; how do I know if the baby is moving? |
Sometimes you will feel slight movements, known as ''quickenings'', from 16 weeks onwards, and proper movements after about 22 weeks. This is very variable, though, and you may not feel you''ve had any movements until then. This is not a reflection on the health or activity of the baby because the variety of movements can range from ''butterflies'' to the baby ''somersaulting'' and you should not be concerned if you are experiencing only few big movements early on in your pregnancy.
