All the tests and scans are fine but I still worry that my baby won't be normal. Why?

All pregnant women at some stage in their pregnancy regardless of the tests etc that they may have had, try to convince themselves that the baby will be born with something wrong. Most often this is to do with guilt over something done either unconsciously before you knew you were pregnant, or even consciously in spite of the fact you were. Try to think what it may be that you are concerned about and ask your midwife or Doctor about it; they should be able to reassure you. If you are looking for ultimate reassurance, this will not be possible to give as there are very few tests that are 100% accurate. If all tests are normal, it is very, very likely that everything is normal but no-one can be totally certain of that until the baby is born.
