Nausea and sickness is normally confined to the first trimester and should improve by 12-14 weeks and then disappear altogether. It is caused by the increase in certain hormones such as human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG)at the beginning of pregnancy; once the homones levels settle then so too should the sickness.
