The midwife phoned to say that she''s coming to my home to ''book me''. What does that mean?

To ''book'' you means that she is coming to your home to do all the paperwork and tests that are normally done in your first hospital visit. It will be more or less the same, just taking place in your home rather than at the surgery or hospital. It may help to make you feel more comfortable to discuss issues in the privacy of your own home.
