I have my first visit at the GP''s this week. What will happen?

This visit will include lots of questions about your health, your choices of pregnancy care and some physical tests to check all is well. Common issues covered include whether your cervical smears are up to date, whether you are otherwise fit & well and not taking drugs and whether you are immune to rubella (german measles). At this visit the GP will send off a letter to make you an appointment at the local antenatal clinic.
