I had a Caesarean three months ago, how long should I leave it before trying to get pregnant again?

A Caesarean involves abdominal surgery which can take many months to physically heal, so traditionally, the advice is to wait for at least 12 months. Remember that if you are currently looking after a new baby, much of your reserves will go to the baby rather than yourself, and after an operation your pregnancy recovery may be prolonged and you are more likely to be anaemic.
