What's a trimester? Will anyone know I''m pregnant in the first trimester?

Pregnancy is divided into 'trimesters', meaning three time-spans. Begining with the first 13 weeks, followed by weeks 14 - 25 (second trimester), and from 26 weeks until you deliver (up to 42 weeks). The changes you will experience in the first trimester are the least visible, as the growing womb is shielded within the bones that make up your pelvis and by 13 weeks baby measures approximately 7cms from head to bottom. They are things which you will feel but others may not be aware of. If you feel worried or scared by something which you are experiencing, do mention it to someone because often at this stage it may not occur to people around you (family and friends) to mention it as they may not realize that you are pregnant!
