I think my partner feels left out...I think he feels jealous, left out afraid, is this normal?

Very! A whole new world has been thrust upon you most of it unfamiliar and it is scary. Traditionally men are supposed to protect women and have the answers but in matters to do with pregnancy women often have more answers than the guys, and this role reversal can feel very odd. Exclusion can make us all feel jealous. The best way to avoid this is to make your partner feel included. Go with your partner to the appointments and classes. If you can''t, tell him what happened while you were there. These feelings will improve once the baby comes, as throughout pregnancy your baby isn''t so tangible to him. It''s hard to imagine what the baby looks like, and this all seems unreal but the reality will soon come with the baby''s arrival.
