Why do I sometimes feel light-headed when I breathe quickly?

In pregnancy, your breathing speeds up anyway, but you may feel short of breath and therefore make yourself breathe even more rapidly. The answer is to try hard to slow your breathing right down when you notice yourself breathing quickly.
