If I take fertility drugs, does that mean that I am more likely to have twins or triplets?

Fertility drugs such as clomiphene citrate (clomid) work by increasing your chances of ovulating (releasing eggs from your ovary). The number of eggs that you release cannot be controlled precisely, so there is always a chance that several eggs may be released at once. If more than one is fertilized by sperm, then this can lead to multiple pregnancy, so your chances of this are increased.
