Why do all my joints, especially in my legs and pelvis, ache when I put pressure on them?

All joints and ligaments become looser in pregnancy. This is one effect of a hormone aptly called relaxin. This can mean that you don''t feel so steady on your feet, but the real purpose of this is probably to allow the pelvic ligaments some stretch and ''give'' during the birth.
