I have been a marathon runner for several years and now that I am pregnant I am scared to run because I do not want to hurt the baby. Is it OK to do other forms of exercise instead of running while I am pregnant?

We recommend gentle aerobic exercise rather than testing yourself to the limit. there is some evidence that very vigorous exercise may be harmful to the baby-probably by affecting the blood supply to the womb. Gentle jogging and swimming for example is OK.
