Does the placenta stop working when you have a miscarriage?

If the pregnancy stops developing and the emrbyo dies, then the placenta may continue to grow and produce hormones so you may still feel pregnant. Once you have physically miscarried the pregnancy sac, however, this includes the placenta, so the effect of any hormones circulating will be short lived.
