I've been a heavy drinker for a long time and now want to get pregnant. Will this affect my chances of getting pregnant?

As long as it hasn't affected your health by damaging your liver, if you stop now-before getting pregnant-your fertility should be OK, and it won't affect baby unless you drink during pregnancy. We do recommend that you have at least 3 months 'dry' before trying for a baby, though, to prove you can keep off the drink. Good luck!
