I have had my 16 week check and the midwife couldn't hear the baby's heart beat. She said she will see me again in 2 days-is this OK?

It's important not to panic as it isn't always possible to hear baby's heart using hand held Doppler devices. Normally if your midwife or doctor can't hear baby's heart beat, you would get referred for a scan within a day to check everything is OK and that the baby's heart is beating.
