What can happen to my baby while passing through the birth canal if I have chlamydia?

If you have chlamydia, then baby has a 25-50% chance of getting the infection while passing through cervix and vagina. Chlamydia can cause conjunctivitis (eye infection), and more rarely a respiratory infection in baby.
