I have just been told that my platelet level is slightly high. What does this mean for me and my baby?

Platelets are small cells that circulate in your bloodstream and help blood to clot. There is a very wide normal range for platelet levels so if yours are just a bit high it probably means nothing for you and your baby, but to be on the cautious side your doctor may just repeat this test after a few weeks.
