Can I get a DNA test done before the baby is born?

DNA paternity tests can be done, but would require an invasvive test (amniocentesis or CVS) which carries a small risk of miscarriage or preterm labour to baby. You'd also need the presumed father of the pregnancy to take either a mouth swab or some blood. There are some companies offering these services-you should get in touch with them, and your own obstetrician, as the specific details may change.
