I have been diagnosed with PCOS and I am currently taken Provera to encourage my periods. Will I still ovulate while taking this medicine even with the PCOS or will ovulation not occur due to the PCOS?

The problem in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is that you may ovulate but not have a period, or even have a period without ovulating. Provera may encourage a period (ie internal the lining of your womb being shed) but it won't encourage you to ovulate, in fact it may prevent ovulation. It's impossible for you to know how often or whether you are ovulating with PCOS unless you are having regular blood tests or scans.
