I'm 40 weeks pregnant and I'm having a brownish mucus loss from my vagina and an uncomfortable feeling. Am I in labour?

This sounds very much like a 'show'-mucus with old brown blood streaking. It can often go together with low back pain/discomfort, which may be a sign that your cervix is beginning to open.
